Nursery lighting is one of those decor elements that is receiving ever increasing attention, particulary in recent years.
The most recent trend in nursery lighting comes in the form of nursery chandeliers, adding a touch of whimsy to the room.
Nursery chandeliers come in a variety of styles, shapes and themes including, of course, chandeliers styled either for a boy's or girl's nursery.
With a purchase of a chandelier don't forget to invest in the convenience of a dimmer switch as well.
Other lighting trends include nursery lamps and wall sconces which while functional have been enriched more by whimsy than anything else.

Lamps
in the nursery should ideally be cordless if at all possible, posing less of a hazard to all of the room occupants, mother and baby alike.
Task lighting focuses
on one of two areas: a well lit change table area and two or three night lights throughout the space.
The final consideration when it comes to nursery lighting is natural lighting that occurs in the room.
Babies do nothing if not make a career of sleeping, at up to
sixteen hours a day or night. Ideally, they are programmed to sleep during the night but this may not always be the case there are more daylight hours
than night. As such, natural light should be mitigated with a window treatment or shades so that sleep is a reality and not a fleeting dream for you or your baby.
And of course, ensuring electrical
elements are out of reach or covered is an absolute requirement.
