Televisions have no home within the home anymore, having taken up residence literally everywhere and anywhere in the house, no longer solely
relegated to the family room or the living room.
From the kitchen to the bathroom, on to the bedroom,
the home office, then the family or games room and, of course, to the living room the ultimate in home furnishings is a television in every room.
The only limit would seem to be
one of finding enough space but with televisions with Internet connectivity now embedded in the fridge, and even bathroom mirrors with televisions inlaid there is semmingly
no end of viewing possibilities in sight.

There are essentially four types of televisions; direct view tubes, otherwise known as that which we spent most of our youth in front of;
digital light processing televisions; liquid crystal display televisions, most commonly employing rear projection; and of course plasma display panel televisions,
currently en vogue and affording us that big screen movie experience in surround sound even if we have to scrimp to afford it.
In creating the ultimate in home theater systems, bigger is definitely better and wall mounted is the rule of thumb when it comes to displaying our televisions.
But
wall mounted is hardly the only available option.
In the room where technology most rules, there are some sleek, modern tv stands undeniably contemporary in look and
feel.
Minimalist entertainment units also give a contemporary and modern feel in perfect complement to the Italian design platform bed in the master bedroom.
