Video game consoles would seem at first glance well within the domain of youth and those with time on their hands. But a funny thing happened
on the way to the video game outlet.
On the way to becoming the best selling handheld system of 2006, the Nintendo DS found an audience among the older set. In
fact, the veritably elderly who have found entertainment and engagement with games like Brain Age.
Video game consoles making the news this year are of course the Sony Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii.

The Playstation is renowned for the sophistication of its lifelike
graphics while the Wii is making headlines for its controller.
In creating the ultimate in home theater systems, bigger is definitely better and wall mounted is the rule of thumb when it comes to displaying our televisions.
A dialog about video game consoles would however be incomplete with mention of the Microsoft Xbox, itself a frontrunner in this highly competitive multi-billion
dollar war for the short attention spans of today’s youth.
And added into the mix are also computer games with their own level of sophistication and engagement in
graphics and complexity.
Video game consoles have come a long way since the days of Atari but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the rules of engagement.
